The brand has recently experienced a significant increase in SUV sales in the Indian market, with around 68.5% of Hyundai cars sold in India being SUVs. The Creta continues to be the bestseller in the mid-size SUV segment despite a decline in the segment's sales. It comes with 3 engine options and multiple transmission options to cater to different kinds of buyers.
Hyundai Creta has been around for quite sometime and while it stays as one of the top selling SUVs in its class, the rumour mill suggests that the next gen Hyundai Creta is already under works and is expected to hit Indian shores by 2027. As for now, the Creta EV has been launched in India, directly rivalling the eVitara from Maruti.

The turbo petrol engine is the most powerful in the lineup with 160PS of power and 253 Nm of peak torque.

The 1.5-liter U2 CRDi Diesel engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission (6MT) and a 6-speed automatic transmission (6-speed AT) gearbox.
