2022 Honda CBR400R And CB400X Unveiled - Here Are All Details!

Honda unveiled its updated 400cc lineup recently at the 2021 Shanghai Autoshow in China and we are expecting these bikes to be launched in the Indian market as well. While these bikes continue to feature premium components and attractive looks, the brand has however retained the styling and its traits from the previous generation. Here are all the details about the 2022 Honda CBR400R and CB400X that you should know.

2022 Honda CBR400R And CB400X

The CBR400R is a really impressive offering from the brand that showcases a great example of aesthetics with functionality. Speaking of the changes, the bike now gets Showa SFF-BP upside-down forks up front. The bike also gets a dual disc brake in front in place of the single-disc offered in its predecessor.  The rear gets a mono-shock suspension setup and boasts a commendable ride quality.

The adventurer tourer bike by Honda, CB400X, received a fair amount of updates however it still retains the design language of the previous year model. The CB400X gets updates like upside-down forks up front in place of the telescopic forks seen in the previous model while it also features dual disc brakes at the front for the first time. The bike retains its signature AVD elements like the front-heavy quarter-fairing, tall windscreen, and sculpted fuel tank.  

2022 Honda CBR400R And CB400X

Both the bikes get the same liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder, 399 cc engine that puts out a net power output of 45.4bhp and 37 Nm of peak torque. The CB400X is available in two paint options namely Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic. The price of the bike starts from JPY 858,000 (approx. INR 5.78 lakh), whereas the 2022 CBR400R is available in three colour options- Grand Prix Red, Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, and Matte Jeans Blue Metallic. The CBR400R is priced from JPY 841,500 (approx. INR 5.62 lakh). Both the bikes have been unveiled for the Chinese market and it's still not clear if the brand will launch these bikes in the Indian market.
