Honda City Hybrid

It's a long time since Honda confirmed that it is working on a hybrid powertrain for the much-popular Honda City in India. While the brand is yet to reveal official details like specs and power output, we do know that the Honda City hybrid will boast commendable fuel economy and a smooth driving experience. The car is expected to be launched in India in the second half of 2022 and will be priced north of INR 15 lakh in the market. Having said this, the Honda City Hybrid will continue to boast a super comfortable cabin with premium quality interiors and an extensive features list. The Honda City takes on the rivals like the Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Ciaz but will also face stiff competition from upcoming sedans from Skoda and VW in India.

Honda HR-V

With the rising popularity of SUVs in the market, Honda too is all set to introduce a new Creta-rival SUV in 2022. The car will measure around 4.2m in length and is expected to be underpinned by the same platform that underpins the fifth-gen Honda City. Under the hood, this new SUV is expected to feature similar engine options as seen with the Honda City and may also get the new hybrid powertrain that will be soon introduced in India. Once launched, the car will take on the rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and other mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. More details however are yet to be known.
