Hi, I'm Tejen. I was born and brought up in a small town of Haryana. However, from the day of my birth and until now, I've always lived around cars and motorcycles. More than passion, the automotive world is my only lifestyle. It's the connection to the vehicle that delivers me peace. However, when it comes to a choice; my instinct leads me towards motorcycles.

2022 Yamaha MT-15 Updated With New Colours - See Here

2022 Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 just got funky with an updated colour scheme. Sadly, the update is for the Thailand model and limits itself to cosmetics only.

It is not long ago that Yamaha introduced the new updated naked sports bike in India. The 2022 Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 made its debut in India with all the necessary features & design updates. Going further, Yamaha has now introduced an updated version in the global market.

Launched in Thailand, the updated version received minor updates. The majority of updates are in terms of cosmetics only. There are no mechanical changes. So, what is new? Well, the grey colour has undergone a radical graphic change over the body panel. Additionally, the racing blue colour is also reworked for the Thailand market.

The grey colour MT-15 is now added with new Toscan Green shade painted fuel tank extensions. There is also a white stripe running over the fuel tank that is similar to the Indian variant. In addition to this, the upside-down forks are now blacked-out to match the contrast with the fuel tank. The black alloy wheels are not pained in Toscan Green as well. The overall refreshed treatment gives the MT-15 a fresh air of change.

The racing blue colour is also redone with minor changes. Whilst most of the bike remains unchanged in Blue colour; the grey shade is no more used now. The grey highlights are removed and this helps make it an all-blue colour MT-15. This change has made the bike the same as the one available in India.

Mechanically, MT-15 uses the Yamaha R15 sourced 155cc, liquid-cooled, VVA-equipped engine. This engine generates 18.4 hp of peak power & 14.1 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox helps deliver the power to the rear wheel. Yamaha MT-15 uses features such as Bluetooth connectivity, Bi-Functional LED projector headlights, LED taillights, slipper-assist clutch, etc. The main rivals include the KTM Duke 125 for the MT-15.

Nevertheless, these changes are not done for the Indian model. Such changes are always welcome though as the rivals also keep updating themselves.
