BMW Z4 Final Edition

BMW has introduced the Z4 Final Edition as a special farewell to its iconic roadster, adding a few exclusive touches before production comes to an end. On the outside, the Final Edition gets a distinct matte finish, gloss-black Shadowline elements and red M Sport brake calipers for a sharper, more premium look. Inside, the cabin features a mix of black leather and Alcantara with contrast stitching, M-tricolour seatbelts and special Final Edition sill plates that highlight its limited status. With these subtle visual and interior upgrades, BMW is giving the Z4 a well-crafted, elegant send-off.

Powertrain
Mechanically, it remains the same as the current Z4; it uses the same 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine, which belts out 497hp and 380nm of torque. Also, it comes paired with an 8-speed steptronic automatic transmission.

Bookings for the Z4 Final Edition are expected to begin in late January 2026, with production scheduled to conclude by March and the last units rolling out by April. With no successor announced, this special edition effectively marks the end of the Z4 nameplate, a model that first arrived in the early 2000s and carried the classic roadster spirit into the modern era.

Verdict
The BMW Z4 Final Edition serves as a fitting goodbye to one of the brand's most iconic modern roadsters. Instead of dramatic changes, BMW focuses on refinement, giving the Z4 a cleaner, sharper, and more premium send-off through exclusive finishes and subtle interior enhancements. The familiar 3.0-litre turbo inline-six remains untouched, ensuring the car leaves exactly as enthusiasts loved it: rear-wheel-driven, open-top, and effortlessly engaging.
