CF Moto seems to be readying itself to step into the performance electric bike category. The company is working on a new electric bike that will be based on its 450SR model. CF Motor Electric Bike - Upcoming F77 Rival?
As seen in the leaked photos, the bike under development resembles the 450SR model. The chassis and sub-frame look similar to the SR model. It looks like CF Moto is reluctant to use a cost-effective approach to building this bike. This part-sharing will reduce the costs to a large extent. The only visible difference is the electric powertrain that has taken the place of the ICE motor.
CF Moto had plans to launch the 450SR in India when it was introduced back in 2022. However, the bike only saw its European debut and didn't come to India. Now, with the EV sector booming in the domestic market, the company might bring this upcoming model to India. If so, its only reasonable rival will be the Ultraviolette F77. More details about this upcoming model shall be revealed by the EICMA 2024 scheduled later this year.
Verdict
CF Moto 450SR is a beautiful-looking sports bike. It offers top-notch features and fast performance at an aggressive price in the global markets. However, the Indian debut of this bike is still pending. The possibility of its EV avatar coming to India is still unlikely.
