Citroen Berlingo MPV Spied Near Atal Tunnel - Will It Be Launched In India? [VIDEO]

French car manufacturer, Citroen, made its India debut in April this year with the launch of the Citroen C5 Aircross. The Citroen C5 Aircross is the company's flagship SUV and all the upcoming Citroen vehicles in India will slot below this premium SUV. This French carmaker is planning to launch several cars in India in the near future. Recently, the Citroen Berlingo MPV has been spied undergoing a high altitude test in India near the Atal Tunnel.

The above-embedded video of the Citroen Berlingo MPV has been uploaded on the YouTube channel AutoHunters India and in this video, we can see that this people mover was undergoing a high altitude test. The MPV was spotted on test in the hilly regions of our country in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir & the video was captured near the Atal Tunnel. In this video, one can see the road presence of the Berlingo on the Indian roads.

Citroen Berlingo MPV - General Information

Citroen Berlingo is a very popular people mover in the European markets. In the global markets, it is available in two iterations, namely Berlingo and Berlingo XL. While the former is 4.4 metres long, the latter has a length of 4.75 metres and it is the XL version that has been spotted on test. This MPV gets two engine options in the global markets - a 1.2-litre turbo petrol motor and a 1.5-litre diesel mill. This 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine will be made in India and it churns out 110 PS or 130 PS of power in some global models.

Citroen Berlingo MPV - Will it come to India?

The Citroen Berlingo is not a part of the company's C-Cubed programme as a part of which it will launch at least one car every year in India and so it is highly unlikely that it will be launched here.
