Citroen C3 Compact SUV Spied On Test In The Hills - India Launch Soon? [VIDEO]

Citroen is a French car manufacturer that made its India debut in April this year. The Citroen C5 Aircross was the company's first vehicle in the Indian market and it is a very premium SUV. The C5 Aircross is also the company's flagship SUV and all the upcoming vehicles will be positioned below it. Now, Citroen is soon planning to launch its compact SUV in India and ahead of its official launch, the Citroen C3 Compact SUV has been spied on test again.

Citroen C3 Compact SUV - Will it come to India?

Citroen is currently working on the new-generation model of the C3 and it will make its global debut very soon. The new Citroen C3 will be coming to India too and it has been internally codenamed as the Citroen C21. The C3 will be a sub-4-metre compact SUV and it will be the first product under the company's C-Cubed programme. As per the new C-Cubed program, Citroen will launch at least one car every year in India and other emerging markets.

The SUV was spotted on test in the hilly regions of our country in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. In this video, we can how this compact SUV looks on the Indian roads and it also gives us a fair idea about its performance.

Citroen C3 Compact SUV - Engine Specifications

The upcoming new Citroen C3 or the C21 Compact SUV will be based on the company's Common Modular Platform and it will get a petrol mill only. As per the media reports, this new compact SUV won't be offered with a diesel engine in India. The Citroen C3 will be powered by a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. This motor churns out 110 PS & 130 PS of power in some global models and we believe in India, the C3 will get the 110 PS tune. It will come mated to a 5-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT.

Citroen C3 Compact SUV - Launch Date, Price and Rivals

The all-new Citroen C3 Compact SUV will make its global debut soon and it is expected to be launched in India in the first half of 2022.
