Ducati India has recently teased its upcoming Hypermotard 698 on its social media handles. The all-new motorcycle gets ADV-specific design elements such as Knuckle guards, flat LED headlamps, and a beak-like front mudguard. The ADV motorcycle also gets an up-swept and a flat LED headlamp. Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono: Design
As mentioned above, the Hypermotard 698 Mono has some ADV-specific design elements- a flat LED headlamp, up-swept exhaust, knuckle guards and beak-like front mudguard. It seems to be a smaller iteration of the Hypermotard 950. All these ADV design elements make the Hypermotard 698 Mono a capable adventure motorcycle.
As for the hardware, the Hypermotard 698 Mono is based on a steel trellis frame and an aluminium double-sided swingarm. Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable 45 mm Marzocchi USD forks and Sach mono-shock at the rear. The ADV motorcycle gets 17-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso 1V tyres. There is a 330 mm disc with a Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial calliper ahead and a 240 mm disc at the rear.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono: Features
As far as the features are concerned, the upcoming Hypermotard 698 Mono gets features such as a 3.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Link Ready with infotainment apps and Ducati Quick Shifts. The ADV also gets 3 power modes- Low, Mid and High and different ride models- Sport, Road, Urban and Wet.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Powertrain
The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono sources its power from a 659cc liquid-cooled unit. The powerhouse generates 76.43 bhp of power at 9750 rpm and 62.76 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm. Also, there's a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch which handles the transmission duties.
Price Details
However, the company has remained tight-lipped regarding the price of the India spec model. The Hypermotard 698 Mono is priced at USD 12,995, so we can expect the ADV bike to land on Indian shores at around Rs.10 lakh.
