1. 4.2-inch TFT Console With Honda RoadSync

The Honda CB125 Hornet comes with a large 4.2-inch TFT digital display that comes with a host of features. The screen supports Honda's RoadSync app, allowing the rider to pair their smartphone via Bluetooth. This enables turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and music control directly on the display, making everyday commutes and weekend rides more convenient and safer as well.
Rivals With Same Features: The TVS Raider 125 offers a TFT screen with the SX variant, whereas the Hero Xtreme 125R features an LCD display.
2. USB-C Charging Port For On-the-Go Convenience

To ensure your smartphone stays charged during long rides, Honda has integrated a USB-C charging port on the CB125 Hornet. This modern charging solution is faster and more versatile compared to traditional USB-A ports, making it perfect for riders who rely heavily on navigation or music streaming while riding.
Rivals With Same Features: The TVS Raider gets a USB-A charging port and the same is offerd with the Xtreme 125R as well.
3. Full LED Lighting Package
Honda has gone all out by equipping the CB125 Hornet with all-LED lighting, including the headlamp, tail lamp, and indicators. The twin-LED headlamps not only enhance visibility during night rides but also give the motorcycle a premium and aggressive look, something that the Hornet series is characterised by. LEDs are also more energy-efficient, contributing to better battery management.

Rivals With Same Features: Both its TVS and the Hero competitor get all LED lighting and hint at this becoming a new normal in its class.
4. Safety with Single-Channel ABS
In terms of safety, the Honda CB125 Hornet offers single-channel ABS as standard. This helps prevent wheel lock-up during sudden braking, especially on wet or slippery surfaces, providing added peace of mind to both new and experienced riders. It's a welcome inclusion in a segment where ABS is still not universal. It also gets a 240mm front disc brake, but where it could have scored in a disc at the rear as well where it still comes with the classic drum! Although this would've meant a price bump, we'll have to wait till the ex-showroom price is announced.
Rivals With Same Features: The Xtreme 125R gets ABS in its ABS variant whereas the TVS Raider 125 misses out on this one.

5. Engine That Is The Fastest In Its Class?

At the heart of the Honda CB125 Hornet is a 123.94cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that complies with OBD2B emission standards. This motor delivers 8.2 kW of power at 7,500 RPM and 11.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 RPM, mated to a 5-speed gearbox for seamless gear changes. Honda claims a 0-60 km/h acceleration in just 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest in its class. Combined with its lightweight 124 kg kerb weight, the Hornet promises nimble handling and easy manoeuvrability, perfect for urban riding and quick sprints at least on paper for now, but we will tell you more about this after we test ride it soon. So stay tuned for that.
Rivals With Same Features: This claim finds base as the Xtreme 125R clocks the same in 5.9 seconds, whereas the TVS Raider is also a notch behind it at 5.8 seconds.

Verdict
The Honda CB 125 Hornet clearly raises the bar for 125cc motorcycles by packing in premium hardware, advanced connectivity, and segment-first features. While pricing will ultimately decide how competitive it is against rivals like the TVS Raider 125 and Hero Xtreme 125R, Honda's focus on quality and features makes it a serious option for riders who want more than just basic commuting, who want a bike that feels sporty and modern without stepping into higher-capacity territory.
