2026 Royal Enfield GT 650 Launched: Here's All That's New

Royal Enfield has rolled out a mid-cycle refresh for the Continental GT 650, its retro cafe racer that has been a mainstay of the brand's 650 Twins line-up. The changes are limited to cosmetics and a couple of convenience features, and the motorcycle now carries a small price bump across the range. Here's a complete breakdown of what's changed.

What's New on the 2026 Continental GT 650

The update brings three notable additions to the cafe racer:

GT 650

  • Blacked-out styling elements: the front cowl area now gets a darker treatment across the range, giving the bike a slightly stealthier stance than before
  • USB Type-C charging port: riders can now top up their phones on the move, a feature that was conspicuously missing until now
  • LED turn indicators: replacing the older bulb-type units for a sharper look and quicker response

The bigger visual shake-up, though, concerns the Rocker Red variant. It now borrows the blacked-out engine casing, exhaust piping and cast-alloy wheels that were previously reserved only for the Apex Grey colourway. That leaves British Racing Green and Mr Clean as the sole variants still offered with a polished engine finish and classic wire-spoke wheels, giving buyers a clearer choice between a more aggressive, blacked-out look and a traditional cafe-racer aesthetic.

Engine and Performance: No Changes Here

RE GT 650

Royal Enfield has left the mechanical package untouched. The Continental GT 650 continues to be powered by the same 648cc, air-and-oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces around 47bhp at 7,250rpm and roughly 52Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. So while the bike looks and feels a touch more premium, the riding experience underneath remains exactly as familiar Continental GT 650 owners would expect.

Updated Price List

With the new features on board, Royal Enfield has nudged prices upward across the line-up. Here's how the ex-showroom pricing now stacks up:

Variant

Wheel & Engine Finish

Ex-Showroom Price

Rocker Red

Blacked-out engine, cast-alloy wheels

Rs. 3.58 lakh

British Racing Green

Polished engine, spoke wheels

Rs. 3.58 lakh

Apex Grey

Blacked-out engine, cast-alloy wheels

Rs. 3.81 lakh

Mr Clean

Polished engine, spoke wheels

Rs. 3.88 lakh

This marks a modest hike over the outgoing model, with the entry-level variant now costing a few thousand rupees more than before.

Should You Consider the Updated GT 650?

For existing fans of the Continental GT 650, this update doesn't reinvent the motorcycle; it simply polishes a few rough edges. The USB-C port addresses a genuine practicality gap, the LED indicators are a welcome modernisation, and giving Rocker Red buyers the option of a blacked-out engine and cast wheels widens the bike's visual appeal without touching what has always been its biggest strength: a torquey, characterful parallel-twin wrapped in one of the best-looking cafe racer silhouettes sold in India today.

With rivals in the modern-classic space continuing to add features, this refresh keeps the Continental GT 650 competitive on paper while preserving the analogue riding character that has made it a favourite among cafe racer enthusiasts since its launch.
