- Hero discontinues the Karizma XMR 210 base variant
- Now available only with the Top and Combat Edition
- Powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine
The Hero Karizma XMR 210 was an ambitious revival that was fueled by nostalgia, but it looks like it does not carry the same weight as it once did. This comes straight after the dwindling sales and as a result, the brand has axed the base variant of the model and is now available in 'Top' and 'Combat' models, automatically bumping up the entry price point of the bike. Let's take a closer look at everything that you get with the bike now, but first, make sure to join our 91Wheels WhatsApp Group community of petrolheads to never miss out on any updates from the automotive world.

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Updated Lineup and Pricing

Hero MotoCorp has officially removed the base variant of the Hero Karizma XMR 210 from its lineup. This version, which featured a telescopic fork and an LCD console with smartphone connectivity, is no longer on sale. With this move, only two variants now remain: the Top and the Combat Edition. Following the update earlier this year, Hero introduced a variant with an inverted front fork and a new 4.2-inch TFT display, enhancing the bike's feature list and visual appeal. This variant was positioned above the base model but has now effectively become the new entry point for the Karizma XMR 210.

Here are the revised prices (ex-showroom, Delhi):
Variant | Price |
---|---|
Top | Rs 1,99,750 |
Combat Edition | Rs 2,01,500 |
Notably, the Combat Edition comes in a distinct grey paint scheme and offers the same specifications as the Top variant.
Price vs Performance: Does It Still Offer Value?
While the Karizma XMR was initially well-received for reviving a legendary nameplate, the lack of premium features like an inverted fork at launch drew criticism, especially since more affordable models like the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V came better equipped. Now with the base model gone, the Karizma faces tougher scrutiny. For instance, the Hero Xtreme 250R, priced at Rs. 1.80 lakh, offers more power and better equipment than the Karizma's remaining variants so for those looking for more grunt, this already struggles in its own backyard.

This makes the XMR 210 seem less competitive in terms of value-for-money in the 200-250cc segment. The sales data too, reflects this waning interest where Hero sold only 72 units of the Karizma XMR in May 2025, which further dropped to just 16 units in June. In comparison, the same month last year saw 476 units sold.
Still a Capable Machine
Despite these setbacks, the Karizma XMR 210 remains a competent motorcycle. Powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 25.5PS and 20.4Nm, it offers a refined riding experience suitable for both daily commuting and weekend touring. The 2025 update added a TFT screen with smartphone features, improving the bike's tech quotient.
