Hero Xtreme 125R Updated With TFT Screen and TPMS

Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch the 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R, and the biggest change it will feature is the TFT screen with TPMS integration. Images of the bike have leaked, and they showcase a new screen, which we have previously seen in Hero's premium bikes such as the Xtreme 160R and Xpulse 210. Now, the Xtreme 125R will joins rivals such as the TVS Raider 125 and Honda CB125 Hornet in offering this feature. Let's discuss more below, including when the 2026 Xtreme 125R will launch, what its price will be, and what more to expect from it.

Hero Xtreme 125R vs TVS Raider 125: Price Comparison

Launched in January 2024, the Xtreme 125R was received well from the start, praised for its engine, ride quality, and looks, and found its audience in Gen-Z. However, its sales have remained below the segment leader, TVS Raider 125, which has always been the first choice of audiences looking to buy a 125cc, simply because the price difference is huge between them. The TVS Raider 125 starts at Rs 83,410, and the Hero Xtreme 125R starts at Rs 91,500. That's a difference of Rs 8,090, which is drastic for these bikes. Also, the Raider has more variants and features to offer, like a TFT screen, 99+ connected features, and a less-aggressive design, making it appealing to the masses.

TFT Screen, TPMS and Other New Features

Now, Hero MotoCorp can't really tackle all that, so they have updated the bike with a new TFT screen, plus it will have features like mobile connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). This tech could be the differentiator in the segment, as none of its rivals offer it. Now, for those who don't know what TPMS is: there's a sensor that tells you about the tyre pressure of each wheel, and if the pressure is less than optimal, it shows on the screen. It can become a game-changer, as it sets the Xtreme 125R apart.

Hero Xtreme 125R vs Honda CB125 Hornet: Which Has the Edge?

Honda CB125 Hornet

While the Xtreme 125R has TPMS on its side, the Honda CB125 Hornet isn't far behind. It comes with a USD-fork suspension, something you won't find elsewhere in this segment. It does give the Hornet an edge in handling, but that also means a higher price tag. And yes, the Honda CB125 Hornet costs Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in a single variant.

Now, the launch date or any announcement isn't stated yet, but we believe it can happen by the end of August or after the 15th of August. That said, the expected price could be Rs 1.12 lakh to Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

The bike in the pictures is in black pearl red, which is one of the three colours offered, with dual-channel ABS. With all this, the bike will remain in the same shape, with the same 125cc engine that puts out 11.5 PS and 10.5 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

End Note

With the introduction of TPMS and a TFT screen, the Hero Xtreme 125R is ready to fight back against tough competition from the TVS Raider 125 and Honda CB125 Hornet. Though there won't be any mechanical or design changes, so it's just a regular update. Let's see what more it has to offer and wait for the price announcement from Hero this month.
