Honda CB500 Launched In India, Starts At Rs 2.75 Lakh

Finally, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the CB500 at a starting price of Rs 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The much-awaited retro-styled roadster is powered by a 501cc single-cylinder engine and was first showcased in July this year. It now joins the recently updated CB350 range in Honda's BigWing line-up. Bookings are open at Rs 5,000, and the CB500 is available at Honda BigWing dealerships. The Honda CB500 is launched today in three variants, based on the type of wheels it gets. So, there is the alloy wheels variant, the spoke tubeless, and the spoke tubeless with stripe variant. Rest, everything else remains the same. Other highlights of the CB500 are all LED setups and front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, along with Honda selectable torque control.

From the photos, it can be seen that CB500 is wearing a single large, low-mounted exhaust matching the overall silhouette of this bike. Plus, it has that masculine appearance people want from these bikes.

A major talking point about this motorcycle will be the 501cc air-cooled engine that puts out 28 hp and 43.3 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. We'll have more on how it rides once the media drive begins, so stay tuned.
