Honda Cars Open 155 Dealerships in India; Focus on Contactless Experience

Amidst the lockdown, certain guidelines have been loosened up to support the automobile sector. You might have heard carmakers opening their manufacturing facilities again but by following all the precautions and guidelines released by the government. Now carmakers have also started resuming operations at the dealerships and service outlets. Honda opens 155 dealerships in India with adhering all the safety precautions and guidelines to fight COVID-19.

Honda opens 155 dealerships

Honda has released certain guidelines for the dealerships and service stations which will be duly fulfilled. By putting customer's safety as first priority, Honda is ensuring proper hygiene, equipment fitness check, availability of personal protective and sanitization equipment, sanitizers at touchpoints, manpower readiness and sanitization. To promote social distancing, Honda will highly focus on contactless experience with extensive use of digital methods for paperwork and product briefing. Honda opens 155 dealerships till now and more will be restarted as the conditions improve.

Mr. Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd said, At HCIL, ensuring safety for everyone is paramount to us, for which we and our dealer partners are taking all measures of sanitization, safety and distancing at both showroom and workshops. We would like to assure our customers that our dealerships are geared up to welcome them and providing a safe, secure and contactless environment during their visit. With the gradual opening of dealerships in the coming days, our objective is to reignite the joy of buying for our customers at a time when personal mobility will gain extreme significance. The dealerships will increasingly be able to focus on servicing vehicles being used by essential service staff like doctors as also for breakdown vehicles.

Honda will launch the 2020 City this year

Honda has also released many protocols which are to be followed for entry into dealership facility, pre-sales customer test drives, sales activity, receiving cars for service, road tests, shop floor handling and finally delivering the car back to the customer. With the restart of manufacturing facilities and dealerships, we may also see the launch of the upcoming 2020 Honda City which may have had happened till now but it was called off due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
