Honda Shine 100 DX

This motorcycle, at its core, remains the same as before - thoughtfully engineered to meet the real-world needs of customers. However, it now comes with premium touches that cater to those looking for more than just a vehicle to go from point A to B. With this update, the Shine 100 now features a digital meter console with a mileage indicator and trip meter, along with chrome finishes on the gear pedal, brake pedal, and a garnish on the front visor. It also gets new graphics that elevate its overall appearance, along with a refreshed Honda logo.

At its core, it's the same - featuring the smooth 100cc engine, backed by eSP and PGM-FI technology that strengthens the Shine brand by delivering refined performance and excellent fuel economy. This single cylinder unit makes 7.28 bhp and 8.04 Nm of torque.

The bike comes with a long seat measuring 677 mm, providing more than enough space for two adults. To enhance comfort, it features a 5-step adjustable rear suspension for the first time. Alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, a compact turning radius, 168 mm of ground clearance, and a 1245 mm wheelbase are some of the highlights of this pocket-friendly bike.

Lastly, Honda has introduced four new colour options, making this bike more dynamic than ever imagined. These include: Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, Geny Grey Metallic, and Pearl Igneous Black.
Verdict
This is Honda's attempt to make the boring commuter bike interesting. Clearly, they are catering to the young brains who want a reliable, fuel-efficient bike with a modern flavour. Sticking to its design, Shine 100 DX doesn't look like a young heart-throb, with very practical features. This will compete directly with the newly launched Hero HF Deluxe Pro, which also gets the same type of treatment. But out of these two, Honda has a better engine to offer, which is butter smooth.
