Ignitron MotoCorp Teases Cyborg Yoda, Its First-Ever 2-Wheeler EV

Ignitron MotoCorp has announced its entry into the electric vehicle market with Cyborg Yoda. The launch of this cruiser e-motorcycle is slated for next year

Ignitron Motocorp, a homegrown startup that has been producing customized vehicles, recently announced its entry into the fast-emerging two-wheeler electric vehicle market of India with its maiden offering called Cyborg Yoda. In the words of the manufacturer, the Cyborg range will comprise premium electric motorcycles that will aim to 'redefine the identity for electric mobility' in India through its smart, safe and environmentally-friendly technology.

As per Ignitron MotoCorp, it will be focussed on producing the safest motorbikes in the country through exploration of new ways to enhance battery technology and the manufacturing processes. The manufacturer has, in fact, already commenced the production of the electric motorbikes at its Manesar-based facility off Gurugram. In the first phase, the manufacturer will enjoy a production capacity of 40,000 units in 2022-23 fiscal.

The Cyborg range will initially comprise three models including products in the mid to high-speed category. The first model in this lineup, the Cyborg Yoda, will target a niche segment of electric vehicle buyers with its cruiser body type. As per the manufacturer, its first EV will aim to meet the aspirations of the Indian consumers while being a robust offering that will be capable of taking on challenging terrains and extreme climatic conditions prevalent in many parts of the country. Also, the Made in India product will offer a swappable battery feature and will target auto enthusiasts seeking the thrill of riding.

Not just this, Ignitron MotoCorp will launch two more products in the Cyborg range to cater to the mass-market needs. These products will offer a good range, a powerful motor and will retail at an affordable price point. The company even aims to establish a robust sales and service network spread across India with many distributors and service centers in all parts of the country. The dealers will even partner with the company for offering Roadside assistance along with battery swapping stations that will be located at every 1 Kilometre. These are compact home charge sockets which give fast charging of 50% in 30 minutes and the online payments will be credited to the vendor's account.

Speaking on the announcement, Mr. Raghav Kalra, Founder, Ignitron Motocorp Pvt.
