Mahindra Bolero Electric Pickup Details
The Mahindra Bolero pickup is undoubtedly the most-selling light commercial vehicle in India. All thanks to its reliable mechanism, robust engine, strong payload capacity and decent fuel economy. Mahindra has designed it in a way that commercial fleet owners vouch for it every now and then.

The teaser video shows that the blue outlook mimics the pickup's ICE version. The electric version is expected to debut in a single-coach variant initially; as visible in the video itself. The blue theme is being used intentionally to make up for Mahindra's EV theme. The other electric Mahindra vehicles like the Mahindra Treo are offered in blue colour prominently. Hence, the blue outlook justifies as the promotional shade from the company.
Electric Powertrain
Speaking of the design, the EV pickup will largely remain the same as its ICE-powered sibling. The reason is simple the EV is going to be based on the diesel Bolero pickup truck. Hence, the chassis, body, and most of the design elements are likely to remain the same. We also suspect that the interior design will also consist of a similar outlook as seen on the diesel pickup truck. The only highlight will remain the use of a Blue theme all over the cabin to mark up for the EV promotion.
There are still no details about its electric powertrain and the range it has to offer. But, going by the tag 'Future of Electric Pickup'; we anticipate that it will at least offer a driving range of around 150km/charge. However, most of the long-hauling will still be done by the diesel pickup trucks. The EV pickup truck is slatted for city use initially. Let's see what happens on 15 August when Mahindra reveals 5 new electric SUV concepts in India.
