A new Honda 100cc motorcycle has leaked online. The patent photos reveal that Honda will launch a new Hero Splendor rival in the coming months.

A few days ago, we reported that Honda is developing a new entry-level commuter bike (read here). Now, the patent photos of it have been leaked online. It is going to rival the Hero Splendor. New Honda 100cc Motorcycle Details
As seen in the leaked patent photo, the bike looks barebone commuter. We suspect that Honda will place it as its most affordable entry-level bike. Speaking of its design, the commuter pattern is evident in it. The overall shape resembles the affordable commuter bikes sold by Honda globally. With a basic design & minimal features; it shall cater to budget-friendly customers. Additionally, rivals like Hero Splendor sell in good volumes. Hence, developing a new 100cc affordable bike doesn't seem like a bad idea to Honda.
Meanwhile, we suspect that it will be powered by the same engine as on the CD 110 Dream. However, Honda might retune it for more fuel economy. Additionally, the Hero HF Deluxe is one of the cheapest bikes from Hero in India. And there is no doubt that the HF Deluxe series sells well. Therefore, a Honda rival will make the options list long for customers. In terms of features, we do not anticipate it to get any digital tech. A simple analog speedometer and drum brakes, etc., are expected as features.
Verdict
There are also rumors online that this new Honda bike can be a flex-fuel bike. But, we do not think so because flex-fuel availability is still a big issue in India. A bike that is meant to cater commuter segment is the least likely to get such complex tech as of now. However, we anticipate that Honda will launch it anytime soon in the coming months in India. Speaking of its expected price; Honda will place it somewhere between Rs 55,000-60,000.
