New Norton Motorcycle Debuts On November 4; Details

From the teaser clip, not much is known about the upcoming bike, but from the sound, it seems like Norton is gunning for the 500cc segment with a twin-cylinder engine, which sounded quite nice in the clip, packing quite the growl and bass. While Nortons are usually known for its classic, retro motorcycles, the sharply-designed rear section hints towards a new sportsbike smaller than the V4SV, which could cater to the mass audience.

Norton is said to be developing both single-cylinder and twin-cylinder platforms in collaboration with TVS, both of which will make it to India at some point, and at least one of them will make their global debut on November 4. TVS has confirmed that the Norton brand will enter India very soon, and apart from the newer lot of motorcycles, it is also expected to bring along its existing lineup as CBUs, consisting of the Commando 961, the V4CR, and the V4SV.

The upcoming single-cylinder and twin-cylinder platforms could spawn off motorcycles anywhere between 400-450cc and 650cc and above respectively, and given TVS seems to be going after Royal Enfield and Triumph's share, these platforms could underpin classic roadsters and cafe racers to keep it linked to its legacy. That said, the bikemaker could also be looking to enter newer segments, which we have spoken about earlier.
There are going to be multiple new teasers in the coming few weeks, so stay tuned!
