TVS is set to bring the iconic Norton brand to Indian shores by late 2025, marking a major step forward in its premium motorcycle ambitions. A company representative has confirmed that two models will spearhead Norton's debut in India, including a high-performance flagship superbike. One of these bikes is believed to be a 1200cc inline-four machine currently under development under the internal codename B110.

To support this premium push, TVS plans to introduce a distinct sales and service network tailored specifically for Norton. The brand will focus on offering a unique retail experience that embodies its core ethos of 'Design, Dynamism, and Detail.' Although the flagship model hasn't been officially named, speculation points to either the fully-faired Norton V4 SV or the aggressive-looking V4 CR. Interestingly, it was the Norton V4 CR that made an appearance at the 2025 Auto Expo, hinting that it could be the first to break cover in India; however, the superbike term aligns more with the SV model.

The Norton V4 SV and V4 CR sit at the very top of the performance motorcycle segment, clearly positioned to outclass even the finest rivals. Both bikes draw power from a high-revving 1200cc V4 engine that belts out a thrilling 185 hp at 12,000 rpm and 125 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. Built with a focus on craftsmanship and precision, they feature a premium aluminium chassis and a CNC-machined billet swingarm that adds to their lightweight, track-ready nature. Top-shelf hardware from Ohlins and Brembo further elevates their credentials, making these motorcycles not just fast but well-engineered machines built for serious riders and collectors alike.

No points in guessing that this will be an expensive affair, and while it is priced around Rs 42 lakhs overseas, it is likely to benefit from the FTA trade settlement between Indian and the UK for a price somewhere in this range only. But even after that, these new bikes will be an expensive affair.

Verdict

After aquiring Norton, TVS was sure to bring the British roots motorcycles to India after a while and this year is when it finally materialises. However, it is the premium segment where the actual placement is going to be at least for now, making it a delight for buyers to have more options in the market. However, there are going to be some rivals for the Royal Enfield, which has opened up the market where buyers are ready to spend big on a two wheeler.
