Yamaha's new 10-Year Total Warranty package includes a 2-year standard warranty plus an 8-year extended coverage, offering protection for key components like the engine, electricals, and fuel injection (FI) system. This comprehensive coverage sets a new benchmark in the industry, with Yamaha's hybrid scooters as well, including the RayZR Fi and Fascino 125 Fi, now backed for up to 1,00,000 km, and its made-in-India motorcycles, such as the FZ Series, R15, and MT-15, covered for up to 1,25,000 km, which is a pretty confidence inspiring move by the brand.

To commemorate its 40th anniversary in India, Yamaha is offering this extensive warranty free of charge to all new customers, but for a limited time. After this introductory phase, the extended portion of the warranty will be available at a nominal cost, reinforcing Yamaha's faith in its product durability and its focus on delivering long-term value and assurance to its customers.

Adding to its appeal, Yamaha's 10-Year Total Warranty is fully transferable to subsequent owners, enhancing the resale value of scooters and motorcycles purchased during the limited-time offer window. Once the promotional period ends, future buyers can still opt for the extended warranty at a nominal charge after the standard 2-year coverage expires.

This offer is exclusively available on Yamaha's made-in-India two-wheelers and is designed to attract new buyers while reinforcing long-term trust in the brand. With this move, Yamaha not only boosts its value-for-money proposition but also strengthens its premium positioning and commitment to customer satisfaction. Do note that the models like MT-03 are not covered in this scheme as they are imports and not locally made.
Verdict
The 10 year warranty scheme showcases the trust that the brand has in its made in India portfolio and is ready to back its claim as well. This comes at a very crucial time as well where Yamaha needs more push for its two wheelers both in bikes as well as the scooter line-up. Although it operates in India for about 4 decades now, the current fight in the segment for the top spot can use a high selling Yamaha model as well, especially going by how the brand's legacy has shaped up its course in the country, it needs some key players at the fore front of the race.
