- Royal Enfield all-electric Flying Flea S6 Scrambler spied on test
- Will be the first RE to get keyless start/stop function
- Range likely between 100-120 km on a single charge, but more info awaited
Royal Enfield's electric ambitions are gathering pace, and the latest sighting of the RE Flying Flea S6 Scrambler in Ladakh gives us our clearest look yet at the production-bound bike. Positioned as the rugged, off-road-oriented sibling to the neo-retro C6, the S6 is one of the first models under the brand's all-electric Flying Flea sub-brand. Following its global debut at EICMA 2025, the S6 is expected to hit Indian roads in early 2026. Let's take a closer look at the spy shots and what new details we can decipher, but before that, make sure to join the 91wheels WhatsApp Community, specifically curated for petrolheads like us to keep up with the latest news and automotive updates.

Design & Off-Road DNA

Unlike the more road-focused C6, the Flying Flea S6 embraces a proper scrambler aesthetic. Spy shots reveal spoke wheels with dual-purpose AT tyres, a high-set handlebar, split seats, and a short front fender. The rugged underpinnings include an inverted front fork, monoshock rear suspension, and a forged aluminium frame that keeps the weight around 110 kg. With likely switchable rear ABS, the S6 promises to be more capable on dirt trails than most electric motorcycles in India.
One of the big highlights from the latest spy shots is the keyless start system, a first for any Royal Enfield. The start/stop button is mounted on the faux tank section, adding to the S6's modern appeal. The round 3.5-inch touch-enabled TFT console is expected to provide turn-by-turn navigation, phone connectivity, and call/SMS alerts. The left-side switchgear includes a 4-way toggle for menu navigation, while the right-side cluster appears to control riding modes.

Powertrain & Battery Setup
The S6 uses a mid-mounted motor with chain drive, offering performance roughly equivalent to a 125-150cc petrol motorcycle. Shared with the C6, the fixed LFP battery packs are expected to be in the 3kWh to 4 kWh range, delivering 100-120 km per charge. Fast-charging compatibility will be on offer, while multiple ride modes, Eco, Rain, Tour, Performance, and Custom, should allow riders to tailor the bike's character to the terrain.
Royal Enfield is likely to unveil the Flying Flea S6 alongside the C6 at EICMA 2025 in November, with both going on sale in Q1 2026. The C6 is expected to be priced around Rs. 4 lakhs- 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom), with the S6 carrying a slight premium thanks to its off-road-focused hardware. Its closest rival will be the Ultraviolette Shockwave, though the latter will be significantly more affordable.
Verdict
The Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler could be the bike that brings electric motorcycling into the adventure space in India. By blending lightweight construction, genuine off-road equipment, and modern tech like keyless start and a TFT console, it has the potential to carve out a niche of its own. However, it all boils down to the final pricing and the real world range, if that is something RE can nail, the S6 might just become the go-to electric scrambler for riders who want nostalgia and next-gen mobility, all in one package.
