Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has brought Bentley under its roof starting July 1 and will oversee all its operations. Abbey Thomas has been appointed as the Brand Director of Bentley India, and three new showrooms will be opened in metro cities: Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi. Additionally, this marks the sixth automobile brand under the Skoda-VW group umbrella. More details below. Bentley India
Talking further on the point, this is the sixth car company to fall under the Skoda - Volkswagen group, after Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini. Offering a wide range of cars from affordable to ultra-luxury and high-performance, with both ICE and EV powertrains. Bentley, originally from the United Kingdom, is one of the oldest producers of the most expensive cars in the world. Their cars are known to offer unparalleled opulence with athleticism that makes them feel like driving nirvana.
As of now, this British car-maker has three cars to offer with multiple iterations - Flying Spur, Continental GT, and Bentayga. A SUV, a roadster, and a sedan. This brand recently redesigned its logo, making it slightly minimalist. From 01 July 2025, SAVWIPL will exclusively import, distribute and service Bentley vehicles across the country

Verdict
What happens globally, the complete opposite happens in India. I mean, internationally, Volkswagen is the parent company of all these brands, but in India, Skoda is in charge of this group, just because Skoda came to this country in 2001. That said, now with Bentley joining this group, the operations and imports will become smoother, and the experience of buying these cars will improve. On top of that, three locations have been set for new showrooms, so Bentley is getting a fresh start overall.
