Tesla enthusiasts in India have a reason to be happy; they have quietly upgraded the Model Y long-range RWD version with a more efficient battery pack. The Model Y will be equipped with its latest battery pack, featuring new LG cells. Meanwhile, the updated unit adds 5.2kWh of capacity, taking the total from around 79kWh to 84.2kWh. Hence, increasing its WLTP-certified range from 622km to 661km, without any change in pricing. Notably, it is 39 km gain over the previous 622 km figure, which gives a little more peace of mind to long commuters.

The Tesla Model Y Long Range RWD now comes with an 84.2 kWh battery pack, which provides a claimed range of 661 km. Apart from this, it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and boast a top speed of up to 201 km/h. Meanwhile, it comes with six eye-catching colour options: Stealth grey, Pearl white multi-coat, Diamond Black, Glacier blue, Quick silver, and Ultra red paired with 19-inch Crossflow wheels. Inside, buyers can choose between all-black or black-and-white interiors, both featuring premium vegan leather, a minimalist dashboard, and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
Most importantly, the Model Y RWD is available at a price tag of Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Model Y Long Range RWD comes at a price tag of Rs 67.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
