Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N160: What To Expect?

The upcoming refresh for the Bajaj Pulsar N160 suggests some exciting improvements. Notably, there's a potential upgrade to the suspension with a USD fork setup, promising better bike handling. Apart from this suspension enhancement, there don't seem to be major changes to the bike's hardware.

On the design front, the spy shots indicate minor tweaks or possibly no changes at all. The wheels, frame, and brakes appear to remain the same as the current model. However, there's speculation about some new colour options for the 2024 Pulsar N160.

Bajaj is likely to enhance the feature lineup of the Pulsar N160 by incorporating a vibrant TFT display borrowed from the Chetak electric scooter. Anticipate a slew of features such as a versatile Bi-Functional LED Projector headlamp, a handy Gear Indicator, a USB Mobile Charging Port, and the added safety of ABS. This means the bike will not only look sleek with its new display but also offer practical features for a more enjoyable and convenient ride.

And under the hood, there's talk of updates to the engine. They want to make it E20-compatible, which is good for the environment. Currently, the Pulsar NS160's engine delivers 15.68bhp at 8750rpm and 14.65Nm at 6750rpm. These engine improvements align with the push towards E20 compatibility, reflecting a commitment to environmental standards.

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N160, set to hit the market soon, is expected to come with a slightly higher price tag, ranging between Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 more than the current version priced at Rs 1,30,560. The final price will depend on the additional features it brings. This new model will be in direct competition with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

Verdict

The anticipated updates to the Bajaj Pulsar N160 showcase a promising shift, with a notable USD fork setup for enhanced handling. While design tweaks appear subtle, expect a potential surge in features.
