With the new GST rates, many manufacturers have dropped the prices of their two-wheelers, and Aprilia too has joined this list. The Aprilia SR 175, SR 125 and the Storm (we're surprised it's still around!) have all seen major price reductions, and we shall talk about them.

Aprilia Scooters Prices Drop; Details!
The SR 175 and the SR 125 are known to be on the more premium side of the segment, and with the new GST regime kicking in, they have become far more affordable than before. Earlier priced at Rs 1.27 lakh, the SR 175 can now be had for Rs 1.17 lakh. The SR 175 was launched not too long ago, and effectively replaced the SR 160 in the lineup.
Similarly, the SR 125 and the Storm also see price reductions of upto Rs 10,000. Both the scooters are now available from Rs 1.10 lakh onwards, and were earlier priced at Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 1.19 lakh respectively. This is especially interesting, considering that the Storm was brought in as an entry-point into the Aprilia lineup.
Another interesting thing to notice is the disappearance of the SXR 160, and this seems to be the result of the 160cc platform having been discontinued. However, while the SR 160 got replaced by the SR 175, Aprilia has announced no plans for the SXR 160 to be replaced by a bigger SXR 175.
Verdict
Even with the price reductions, the Aprilia scooter lineup continues to be on the premium end, but they have become far more affordable than earlier. The SR 175, in particular, becomes an option you should be looking at, given that the difference between it and the 125 isn't that much.
