BMW Motorrad has some world-class motorcycles in their global portfolio but not all of them have made their way to the Indian market. Post BS6, BMW has announced the bookings of the BMW R 18 retro cruiser motorcycle which can be booked from select BMW dealers in India. As the lockdown is still in place, you can directly call the select dealer to book your R 18 cruiser. The deliveries will start later this year depending on the global conditions.

This drop-dead gorgeous retro cruiser sporting smooth flowing panels and chunky dual-sided chrome exhaust is eye candy. Powering the R 18 is a 1.8-litre twin-cylinder boxer engine which churns out 90bhp and 158 Nm of torque at 3000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it can max out at 180 km/h. The BMW R 18 cruiser can touch 0-100 in just 4.8 seconds despite hiding 345 kilos under it.
The R 18 features an exposed drive shaft and sports dry clutch. It also gets multiple riding modes which include Rock, Roll and Rain. The Rock mode is the most exhilarating offering punchy performance, Roll mode is to munch miles effortlessly and the Rain mode, as the name suggests, tames down the throttle response and power delivery.

The BMW R 18 retro cruiser will be available in two trims - Standard and First trim. The latter one reminiscing the old BMW' retro motorcycles with loads of chrome all over the body panels. If you want to get your hands on one of these, you have to be quick to make the move as reports suggest that R 18 will be brought in limited numbers and some have already found their garages.
