This Is The New Norton V4 Sportsbike, To Be Unveiled On November 4!

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • This is the motorcycle Norton had teased on social media.
  • It will likely be powered by a re-engineered 1200cc V4 engine.
  • The rear section is exactly the same as shown in the teaser.
  • It could replace the current V4SV.

The first motorcycle from Norton under TVS' ownership is finally shaping up. While it does seem like a departure from the British bikemaker's usual retro roadsters and cafe racers, it does seem set on looking at the future. This isn't all, though, as Norton has planned more motorcycles and it even plans to enter the Indian market later this year.

Upcoming Norton V4 Details

It seems like the first Norton under TVS ownership is going to be a flagship four-cylinder sportsbike, and on first impressions, it seems to have a passing resemblance to certain other sportsbikes from the past. The twin, slim headlamps with handlebar-shaped DRLs certainly appear more youthful and purposeful than the V4SV.

It is hard to uncover other details on the visuals and side profile due to the heavy camouflage and other equipment for recording data. It does get alloy rims in red, similar to the current V4SV, but it is possible these may not make it onto the production-spec bike. The multi-slat rear section is also similar to what we have been shown in the teaser reel.

The powertrain is likely going to be a re-engineered version of the familiar 1200cc powertrain from the current V4SV, and while the camouflage somehow hides the four-cylinder setup, Norton's teaser dropped a hint of its exhaust note, which was properly throaty and had the iconic grumble one would associate with a litre-class motorcycle.

The upcoming motorcycle also seems to pack in a lot of premium hardware, the details of which may be difficult to get into. However, it continues to use a single-sided swingarm, and there is a good chance this motorcycle may also continue to use a twin-spar aluminium frame, which could hang off of semi-active Ohlins USD forks and a monoshock. A closer look will also reveal the presence of Brembo monobloc Hyperpure callipers, also seen on the Ducati Panigale V4.

More details of this motorcycle will be revealed on November 4, at the 2025 EICMA. Norton also has been confirmed to enter India towards the end of this year, and it is also said to be developing new single-cylinder and twin-cylinder platforms for India.

Verdict

The upcoming Norton V4 appears to be in early stages of testing, and it seems like this will be the new flagship for the bikemaker going forward, especially as it finally gears up for a full-fledged assault years after TVS' acquisition.
