Top 5 Things Honda H'Ness CB 350 BS6 Offers Over The Upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 - All Details

Honda has recently ventured into the sub-350cc retro motorcycle segment in India with the new Honda H'Ness CB 350. This motorcycle segment is mostly captured by Royal Enfield as people love RE motorcycles like the Classic 350 and the Bullet 350. Also, Royal Enfield will soon launch its new motorcycle which will be called the Meteor 350. The Meteor 350 will be the most technologically advanced RE to date. Still, does the new H'Ness CB 350 offer more features for your bucks and is it a better deal? Today, we list for you the Top 5 things that Honda H'Ness CB 350 BS6 offers over the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350.

A More Powerful Engine

The 2020 Honda H'Ness is powered by a new BS6-compliant 348.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 21.07 PS of maximum power at 5500 RPM and 30 Nm of peak torque at 3000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will be powered by a BS6-compliant 349cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor will churn out around 20.4 PS of power at 6100 RPM and 27 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. It will come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. So, the new H'Ness CB 350 gets a more powerful mill compared to the upcoming RE Meteor 350.

Better Electronics and Safety Features

Then come the electronics and safety features. In this department, the new H'Ness CB 350 is way ahead of its competition. The Honda H'Ness CB 350 gets dual-channel ABS as standard. It also gets Honda's Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), an assist & slipper clutch, hazard light switch, and many more. Moreover, the CB 350 gets a 310 mm disc brake at the front, which is currently (and will most likely remain) the biggest in its segment even after the launch of the Meteor 350. In terms of safety features, the Meteor 350 will get only disc brakes at either end along with dual-channel ABS.

Connected Tech and Many Other Features

It shows fuel gauge, trip meters, battery voltage meter, distance to empty, real-time mileage, gear-position indicator, etc. The CB 350 also gets an engine start/stop switch, smartphone connectivity and Honda's in-house developed Voice Control System. The RE Meteor 350, on the other hand, will get a semi-digital instrument cluster with gear position indicator, service reminder, Eco mode indicator, clock, etc. It will also feature turn-by-turn navigation (Tripper Navigation).

Best Blend of Modern & Classic

While the looks of the motorcycles are subjective and depend on personal tastes, everyone will unanimously agree than the CB 350 is a good looking motorcycle. The new H'Ness CB 350 features the best blend of modern and classic retro charm. It sports an old-school retro appeal but is loaded with all the modern elements. It gets a round-shaped all-LED headlamp, round LED turn indicators, LED taillamp and a dual-tone paint scheme. The RE Meteor 350 will also be available in multiple colour schemes and variants. Better Warranty

Honda Two-wheelers India offers 3-years standard warranty on the new H'Ness CB 350. The buyers can even opt for an extended warranty of 3 years, thus taking the total warranty period to 6 years. While the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 isn't launched yet. Most BS6 Royal Enfield motorcycles in India get 2-years standard warranty and you can get it extended it for up to 4 years or 5 years, depending on your requirements. However, it is worth mentioning that the new H'Ness CB 350 will be sold via Honda's premium BigWing Dealerships. The Royal Enfield showrooms and regular Honda dealerships are readily available across the country. However, the BigWing Dealerships are very limited in numbers.
