Tata Harrier Dark Edition Is Now More Affordable; New Variants Launched - Details

Tata Harrier is a very popular car in the Indian market. The Harrier was first launched in January 2019 but it had some minor niggles. Tata Motors addressed all the shortcomings of the 2019 Harrier and launched the new 2020 Tata Harrier BS6 early this year. The new Harrier is leaps and bounds better than its predecessor and it also has a very popular Dark Edition trim. Hitherto, the Dark Edition was offered only in the top-spec model. But now, the Indian carmaker has launched some new affordable variants of the Tata Harrier Dark Edition with prices starting at just Rs. 16.50 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. Here are all the details about it.

Tata Motors has launched the new XT and XT+ variants of the Harrier Dark Edition. The new Harrier XT Dark Edition variant is around 1.35 lakhs more affordable than the Harrier XZ Dark Edition. A lot of people want to own a Harrier Dark Edition and these new variants have made it more accessible to the prospective buyers. Also, it is worth noting that the recently launched Harrier XT+ even gets a panoramic sunroof. The Harrier XT+ was launched last month at an introductory price of Rs. 16.99 lakhs. The price of the XT+ variant was about to be increased in October and now it has been priced at Rs. 17.20 lakhs (21,000 rupees more than before), Ex-showroom Delhi.

Talking about the price of the new affordable variants of the Harrier Dark Edition. So, the new Harrier XT Dark Edition is priced at just Rs. 16.50 lakhs while the Harrier XT+ Dark Edition has been priced at Rs. 17.30 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. These new XT and XT+ Dark variants demand just 10,000 rupees premium over the regular colour schemes. In comparison, the Harrier XZ and XZ+ Dark Edition demand 20,000 rupees premium over the regular colour schemes. The Harrier's Dark Edition gets an all-black theme inside and out and it looks drop-dead gorgeous.

The 2020 Tata Harrier is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This diesel motor churns out 170 PS of maximum power and a whopping 350 Nm of peak torque. The XT and XT+ variant comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. However, some other variants get a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission only. The Harrier XT and XT+ are fairly loaded with features and offer great VFM. The XT+ trim gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity. It also gets an 8-speaker sound system, push-button start/stop system, etc. The safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors with rear parking camera, ESP and many more.
