MG Majestor

MG Motor is finally set to announce pricing for the Majestor, a full-size SUV that was previously showcased earlier this year in the first week of May. Positioned as a rival to premium ladder-frame SUVs, the Majestor brings a strong focus on comfort and off-road capability. It comes equipped with features like ventilated and massage seats, three-zone climate control, and heated ORVMs, along with a spacious three-row cabin supported by a long wheelbase. On the mechanical front, the SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, with both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations on offer. Off-road features such as crawl control and a triple differential lock further enhance its capabilities, while ADAS functions add a layer of safety.
Honda City Facelift

Next one on the list of upcoming cars is the updated version of the City sedan, marking another significant refresh for its fifth-generation model. While the core design is expected to remain familiar, the facelift will bring subtle styling tweaks and a stronger focus on features. Updates are likely to include additions such as a larger touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and an electrically adjustable drivers seat. The engine lineup is expected to remain unchanged, with both petrol and hybrid options continuing in the range, maintaining the Citys appeal among both traditional and efficiency-focused buyers. It is set for debut on May 22 along with another Honda model, which is&.
Honda ZR-V

Honda will also introduce the ZR-V, a hybrid SUV that will sit between the HR-V and CR-V in its global lineup. Scheduled for launch on May 22, the model is expected to be brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU). Under the hood, it features a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with dual electric motors, producing around 181 bhp and 315 Nm. The cabin is expected to be feature-rich, with highlights such as a large touchscreen, wireless charging, heads-up display, and an electric tailgate. Advanced driver assistance systems will also be part of the package; however, the pricing is something that will play a major role in its adaptability, given that CBU models usually fight an uphill battle in value propositions.
Tata Sierra EV

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the electric version of the Sierra EV, bringing back an iconic nameplate in a modern form. The Sierra EV is expected to arrive towards the latter half of the month and could offer multiple battery configurations. A larger battery pack, possibly around 75 kWh, is likely to be offered with dual-motor setups, delivering a real-world range close to 500 km. The design may differ slightly from its ICE counterpart, but the interior is expected to remain largely similar, featuring advanced tech and safety systems, including ADAS and a potential 5-star safety rating.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

Toyota is set to enter the electric SUV space with the Urban Cruiser Ebella, marking its first EV offering in India. The model, which was previously showcased earlier this year, will have its pricing revealed in May. Based on the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara platform, the Ebella is offered with two battery options of 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The larger pack is claimed to deliver a range of up to 541 km. Inside, the SUV will feature dual 10.2-inch displays integrated into a single unit, along with amenities like ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and a JBL sound system.
Verdict
The upcoming cars in May 2026 highlight a clear shift towards electrification and feature-rich offerings across segments. With a strong mix of EVs, hybrids, and updated ICE models, automakers are targeting a wide range of buyers, from tech-focused early adopters to those seeking practicality and comfort. As competition intensifies, these new arrivals are expected to play a key role in shaping market trends in the coming months.
