Hi, I'm Tejen. I was born and brought up in a small town of Haryana. However, from the day of my birth and until now, I've always lived around cars and motorcycles. More than passion, the automotive world is my only lifestyle. It's the connection to the vehicle that delivers me peace. However, when it comes to a choice; my instinct leads me towards motorcycles.

TVS Zeppelin R Cruiser Bike Launch In June - Read Details

TVS Zeppelin R Cruiser motorcycle is reportedly going to launch by the end of June 2022. It will be the first cruiser motorcycle from TVS ever.

Remember back at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo, TVS showcased its first-ever cruiser bike? Yes, the TVS Zeppelin R Cruiser motorcycle that was seen as a prototype will soon launch. Well, as per the reports over the internet TVS is planning for its launch in June 2022 itself.

When TVS showcased the Zeppelin, it attracted a lot of eyes at the show in 2018. As the cruiser segment is very less explored, TVS Zeppelin seemed the right choice for many visitors. It was not just the design but also the specs & engineering that attracted the crowd.

The typical cruiser stance of the prototype bike was eye candy. Low-slung & wide rider seat, high-set pillion seat, upright & wide handlebar, front-seat rider footpegs, etc., contributed to the cruiser stance. Up front, the Zeppelin used a vertical LED headlight with chunky golden USD forks. Also, the rear end is comprised of a short-tail design as seen over the bigger cruiser bikes like the Harley's.

Mechanically, Zeppelin uses a 220cc, single-cylinder engine. This engine also witnessed the support of mild-hybrid tech (again first-in-segment). This engine produces a peak power of 20 hp & 18.5 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, there was no chain drive but a belt drive system used for seamless torque delivery. The Zeppelin seemed laden with all high-tech equipment as well. The instrument console was a single round-shaped all-digital unit. The rear suspension was a single mono-shock for cushioning ride quality.

Interestingly, the reports suggest the launch is slated for this month. But, we have not witnessed a single test mule of the Zeppelin over the Indian roads till now. Nevertheless, this is a piece of exciting news for cruiser bike enthusiasts. The Zeppelin is expected to compete with the rivals like Yezdi Roadster, Jawa 42, & Royal Enfield Meteor.

So, comment down & tell us your thoughts about the upcoming Zeppelin cruiser.
