BMW G 310 RR Teased: A Fresh Design Direction?

While the silhouette of the BMW G 310 RR remains familiar at its rear, subtle cosmetic changes are on the horizon. Expect updated decals, fresh liveries, and possibly aerodynamic enhancements like winglets, similar to what was recently seen on the Apache RR 310, its platform sibling. These updates aim to sharpen the bike's sporty persona and improve high-speed performance.

The G 310 RR continues to be built on the tried-and-tested TVS Apache RR 310 platform, with manufacturing handled at TVS's Hosur facility. BMW-specific styling and detailing distinguish it from its Indian cousin, while production caters to both domestic and global markets. With the discontinuation of the G 310 R and G 310 GS, the RR is now BMW's most affordable offering in India.

Extended Features Expected

While the teaser does not reveal anything more than the rear section of the bike, BMW is likely to add more tech to the 2025 iteration of the G 310 RR. Feature highlights could include a new-gen Race computer, launch control, cornering drag torque control, sequential turn indicators, and even tyre pressure monitoring. These inclusions would place the motorcycle firmly among the most feature-rich offerings in the entry-level supersport segment.

Engine and Hardware

Mechanically, the motorcycle is expected to continue with the proven 312 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 34 bhp at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of torque at 7,700 rpm. The setup is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Hardware will likely remain unchanged too, with upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, and a TFT instrument cluster. Some tweaks in output, closer to the Apache RR 310's 37 hp and 29 Nm, cannot be ruled out.

Thanks to a recent price cut and the introduction of India's new GST rules, the G 310 RR has become even more competitive.
