Ola Roadster X+ Special Edition Unveiled
To commemorate the milestone, Ola has launched a special edition Ola Roadster X+, finished in a striking midnight blue livery with sporty red accents on the dual-tone seat, alloy rims, and even the battery pack. The celebratory edition also features badges made from recycled copper waste and electroplated bar ends, underscoring Ola's push toward sustainable design practices.

The Ola Roadster X+ will be offered with two battery pack options, a 4.5 kWh unit with 252 km IDC range, and a larger 9.1 kWh pack delivering up to 501 km. The latter makes use of Ola's newly developed 4680-format Bharat Cell, designed and manufactured in India, furthering the brand's localisation efforts.

New EVs With Bharat Cell Tech

At its annual 'Sankalp' event, Ola also showcased new models built on the Bharat Cell platform. The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) is priced at Rs. 1.70 lakh, while the Roadster X+ (9.1 kWh) carries a sticker price of Rs 1.90 lakh. Deliveries for both models are set to begin this Navratri. Additionally, Ola entered the sports scooter category with the all-new S1 Pro Sport, which will be offered with 5.2 kWh and 4 kWh packs. Prices start at Rs. 1.50 lakh, with deliveries scheduled for January 2026.
Ola claims that its new 4680 Bharat Cell technology will significantly raise the bar in EV performance and efficiency. The cells are designed to deliver a longer lifecycle, with the ability to charge up to 80% in just 15 minutes, a big leap over rival setups that typically take half an hour to reach 50%. Along with faster charging, the cells promise improved safety and lower production costs. Ola also has plans to adopt ferrite motor technology, which eliminates the need for rare-earth magnets, making its future products both more sustainable and cost-effective.
Verdict
Ola's one-million-unit milestone not only reflects the brand's meteoric rise in India's EV landscape but also its growing focus on localisation and sustainable design. The Roadster X+ Special Edition is a tribute to this achievement, offering exclusivity along with advanced India-made battery technology. With the introduction of the new S1 Pro Sport and Bharat Cell-powered models, Ola is clearly looking to cement its position in the EV two-wheeler market, something that has been dearly challeneged by other players in recent times.
