Tata Motors has pulled the wraps off the Nexon CAMO, a limited-run special edition that marks nine years and over 1.1 million customer deliveries of India's best-selling SUV nameplate. The CAMO edition isn't a mechanical update, but it has got some feature and styling package built around a camouflage theme. It has a new twin-screen digital cockpit, a built-in dashcam, and two exclusive paint jobs that weren't on the regular Nexon before. As for the price, the brand has kept a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Creative CAMO trim. That said, let's discuss what those changes look like on the new Nexon CAMO Edition.
What's New In The CAMO

The major highlight is the addition of the All-New Ultra View Twin HD Digital Cockpit. It pairs a 12.3-inch Harman-sourced touchscreen with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster that comes with embedded navigation, which is a genuine upgrade over the regular Nexon's setup. Not only this it has got a dashcam recorder that taps into the existing 360-degree camera system. It records continuous footage from all four cameras, automatically saves a separate clip the moment it senses an impact using 1 GB of protected internal storage.

Additional you can extend the storage via using external USB drives up to 256 GB for extended recording. Moreover, you can view and save the footage right from the infotainment screen or send it to your phone by scanning a QR code.

Apart from that on the outside with CAMO edition, Buyers get two exclusive colours option that include Munnar Mist, which is dual tone dark green that shifts between grey shadows and golden-green highlights depending on the light, and Coorg Cloud, a grey-silver shade with a more understated, urban character. Additionally, these colours appear to be inspired by the shades offered on the Tata Sierra. Both get CAMO badges on the front fenders and matching perforation on the front headrests, so the theme carries into the cabin too.
Beyond that, the CAMO comes with the same three powertrain options as the standard Nexon: a 120PS 1.2-litre turbo petrol, a 114.5PS 1.5-litre turbo diesel, and a 100PS turbo iCNG option with twin-cylinder tech that still allows a 321-litre boot and a spare wheel under it.
How It Stacks Up Against The Regular Nexon

Here's where the CAMO's pricing starts to make real sense. The standard Nexon Creative, the closest match in the non-CAMO lineup, is priced at roughly Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base petrol manual, virtually the same money as the Creative CAMO. For that price, the regular Creative gives you the 360-degree camera, R16 alloys, push-button start, and auto climate control, but it runs on the older single-screen infotainment setup, has no dashcam function, and comes only in Tata's standard colour palette.
The Creative CAMO undercuts nothing on that list and adds the twin-screen Ultra View cockpit, the impact-recording dashcam, and two colours you simply can't get anywhere else on the Nexon. For someone shopping around the Rs 10 lakh mark who wants their SUV to feel a notch more special without stepping up a full trim, that's a fairly compelling case, and it's likely to be the strongest pitch Tata makes for this edition once it hits showrooms.
