It will be powered by an all-new BS6-compliant 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. This oil-burner will churn out 213 PS of maximum power at 3750 RPM and a colossal 500 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2000 RPM. The engine will come mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox and it will get proper 4x4 drivetrain with a bunch of driving modes. Now, talking about features, so first of all, let me you the drive modes of this lifestyle pick-up truck. The four-wheel-drive system of the new Ford Ranger Raptor gets six different modes within a Terrain Management System. Out of the six modes, two are for on-road performance namely Normal mode and Sports mode. For off-road duties, it gets four different modes namely Grass / Gravel / Snow mode, Mud / Sand mode, Rock mode and Baja mode (named after the famous Baja Desert Rally). The Baja mode of this pick-up truck reduces chassis intervention for maximum attack over rough terrain.
The new Ford Ranger Raptor will get a lot of creature comforts and safety features too. It will get a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The safety features of the pick-up truck will include several airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Program with Roll-over Stability and Traction Control, Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control, front and rear parking sensors with a reverse parking camera, cruise control, etc. The Ford Ranger Raptor will also get an electronically locking rear differential and many more off-road-oriented features and it will be very capable on all sorts of terrains. It even gets humongous 33-inch off-road specific tyres.

Finally, talking about the launch timeline and expected price, so according to the latest media reports from AutoCar India, the new 2021 Ford Ranger Raptor BS6 will hit the Indian showrooms in the second half of 2021. It will be brought to India in very limited numbers. Ford will directly import the Ranger Raptor in India for the prospective customers under the 2,500-unit homologation-free route.
