Tata Tigor EV

The Tata Tigor EV is officially launched in Nepal and is available in three variants: XE, XM and XZ+, with prices ranging roughly from Rs 29.99 lakh to Rs 32.99 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it in the price bracket comparable to a Toyota Fortuner in the Nepalese market. The electric sedan runs Tata’s Ziptron EV technology with a 26 kWh liquid-cooled battery pack, producing about 55 kW of power and 170 Nm of torque along with a claimed 306 km range per charge. Standard features include a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, power-folding mirrors, and safety systems such as ABS with EBD and dual airbags, while an 8-year / 1.6 lakh km warranty is offered on battery and motor.

The Tata Tiago EV and Tata Tigor EV are available with discounts of up to Rs 1.05 lakh in January 2024, making the electric hatchback and compact sedan more affordable for buyers. The discount packages vary by dealership and include a mix of cash discounts, exchange bonuses and ‘green bonus’ incentives on both MY2023 stocks and newly arrived MY2024 units. These offers aim to boost sales of Tata’s EV lineup during the mid-year sales period and are valid through the end of the month.

The Tata Tigor EV is launched with updated features and improved range, priced from Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed Tigor EV gets enhancements including a longer driving range on a single charge, upgraded infotainment and comfort features, and better connectivity options compared to its predecessor. Tata Motors positions the new Tigor EV as a more competitive choice in the compact electric sedan segment, catering to urban users seeking value, comfort, and zero-emission driving.

The Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV see a price increase of about Rs 25,000 across various variants, making both electric models more expensive compared to earlier pricing. Tata Motors also recently introduced the Nexon EV Max with a larger battery and extended range in its EV lineup, while the price revisions reflect routine adjustments aimed at aligning with costs and feature positioning.

The Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV collectively cross the 10,000 unit sales milestone, marking strong demand for the electric duo in the Indian EV market. Tata Motors highlights that this landmark reflects growing consumer confidence in EV adoption, supported by robust charging infrastructure and attractive ownership economics. Continued emphasis on feature updates, wider dealer reach, and competitive pricing helps sustain interest in both models.
