Yamaha FZ 25 is a very popular quarter-litre naked streetfighter in India. Just a few months ago, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer launched the new BS6 compliant FZ 25 in India. The FZ 25 BS6 undercuts all its rivals in terms of price and in today's article, we have shared with you all the Pros and Cons of the new 2021 Yamaha FZ 25 BS6. So, let's have a look at all its positives and negatives.

PROS

Stunning Looks - The new Yamaha FZ 25 and the FZS 25 look stunning. The motorcycle gets a new bold front fascia with an all-LED projector headlamp, underbelly cowl, sharp tank extensions and a silver-coloured muffler on the exhaust. The new FZ 25 is offered in two colour variants. They are Metallic Black and Racing Blue. The new Yamaha FZS 25 even gets knuckle guards, gold-painted alloys and it is offered in three colour shades. They are Dark Cyan, Dark Blue and Metallic White shades.

Engine Performance and Reliability - The new Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a BS6 compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 20.8 PS of power at 8,000 RPM and 20.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and like most other Yamaha motorcycles, the new FZ 25 is a very reliable motorcycle.

Decent Hardware - The new Yamaha FZ 25 gets telescopic front forks and a 7-step adjustable mono-cross suspension at the rear. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at either end. It gets a 282 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. It gets dual-channel ABS as an additional safety aid. The FZ 25 rides on 17-inch tubeless tyres. The front tyre measures 100/80-17 while the rear tyre is a 140/70 section 17-inch unit.

Comfortable Ergonomics - Yamaha FZ 25 has very relaxed ergonomics. It sits on a Diamond Frame and has a saddle height (seat height) of 795 mm.

Most Affordable 250cc Bike - The new Yamaha FZ 25 is the most affordable 250cc bike in India. The FZ 25 BS6 is currently priced at Rs. 1.53 lakhs while the FZS 25 BS6 is priced at Rs. 1.58 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi.

CONS

Misses Out on 6th Gear - The Yamaha FZ 25 has a very good mid-range but it lacks top-end punch. Also, it misses out on a 6th gear, which is a big con.

Outdated Instrument Cluster - The new Yamaha FZ 25 is decently loaded with features. It gets a new negative LCD display for the instrument console which isn't very feature-rich and also can't be read properly under direct sunlight.

No Centre Stand - The Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 doesn't get a centre stand and so you have to rely on the side stand only.
