Delhi government EV cell has been established to push the EV policy introduced in the year 2020 and it will also ensure the implementation of the EV infrastructure as well.

The government of Delhi has started the process of recruitment in the newly setup EV cell. Vacancies for the Chief Executive Officer post along the sub-ordinate posts were recently released; inviting the applications for the eligible candidates. The whole motive is to hire the best of the talent which can augment the EV sales and infrastructure via efficient implementation of the EV policy of the Delhi government.

The main aim of the EV policy is to push the use of electric vehicles in shared platforms such as official vehicles, shared transport as well as public-private vehicles as well. This policy was created, to sum up, the extensive carbon emission problem that the national capital has been facing over a long period.

This EV cell will work as a semi-independent committee that shall remain under the belly of Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation (DTIDC). This cell will not just monitor the policies to grow the EV culture and usage but will also focus on the extension of the electric charging stations to provide a better EV infrastructure in the capital region.

This new cell of the EVs shall accelerate the facilitation of the demand incentives of the electric products for the public. Along this, the newly created block will also help in finding new methods to develop and enhance the efficiency of the EV policy according to the future needs and demands.
