Toyota Glanza is all set for the launch of its mid-life facelift tomorrow. In the recent teaser, Toyota has shown some glimpes of the facelifted Glanza. It is expected to get some new features and a new engine, similar to its sibling Maruti Suzuki Baleno, which received a facelift a month ago.
Toyota Glanza Facelift Exterior
The Toyota Glanza facelift front is likely to have a larger grille with honeycomb mesh, and the Toyota logo moved from the grille to a body-colored trim above it. Also, a thick chrome strip under the logo is visible running throughout the front. There are revised LED fog lamps as well.
On the sides, there is a chrome strip flowing around the windows. There is a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels as well. This is the only thing likely to be changed in the sides of the Glanza facelift. The rear of the car is also likely to get the same design as the outgoing version has.
Toyota Glanza Facelift Interior & Features
The Toyota Glanza facelift is likely to offer a largely unchanged interior. It is expected to offer the same set of features as the Baleno does; those are a head-up display, wireless phone charging, ventilated seats for front passengers, a Clarion sound system, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a push-start button, keyless entry, and steering-mounted controls.
Glanza is likely to miss offering a sunroof. On the safety point, it will be offered with a new ADAS suite and 6 standard airbags.
Toyota Glanza Facelift Engine & Transmission
The Toyota Glanza facelift will be offered with the same engine, which we have recently seen in the Maruti Baleno. It is the same 1.2-litre Z12E 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces a power of 83 PS and 112 Nm of torque. The power and torque figures are 7 PS and 1 Nm less compared to the outgoing engine; however, it is well suited to get more mileage on the road.
There will be another CNG engine as well, which produces a power of 70 PS and 102 Nm of torque. In terms of transmission, the Glanza is expected to carry forward the same 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT in petrol, but for CNG, there is no confirmation yet for an AMT.
Toyota Glanza Facelift Price
The Toyota Glanza currently comes at a price of Rs. 6.73 lakh and goes up to Rs. 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The prices of the facelift are likely to go up, ranging between Rs. 8,000 and Rs. 15,000 depending on the variants. However, the base price could be the same as the outgoing version. The rivals of the Toyota Glanza are the Maruti Baleno, the Hyundai i20, and the Tata Altroz.
