Bajaj Auto appears to be inching closer to entering one of the fastest-growing segments in the Indian two-wheeler market. A heavily camouflaged test mule believed to be the company's first purpose-built adventure motorcycle has been spotted testing, offering the clearest indication yet that Bajaj is developing a machine designed for both touring and off-road exploration. While early expectations pointed towards a traditional adventure tourer, the latest spy shots suggest the upcoming motorcycle may lean more towards the dual-sport category, combining everyday usability with genuine rough-road capability. Bajaj Adventure Bike: Design Signals Adventure Intentions

Despite the camouflage, several key design elements are easy to spot. The Bajaj Adventure bike features a tall stance, a high-mounted front fender, substantial bodywork around the fuel tank, and a long single-piece seat. Together, these elements give it a distinctly adventure-focused appearance. The rider triangle also appears to have been designed with versatility in mind. A wide handlebar, upright ergonomics, and a slim mid-section should make the motorcycle comfortable during long-distance touring while also allowing riders to stand comfortably on the footpegs when tackling rough terrain.

The spy shots reveal several hardware components typically associated with adventure motorcycles. Long-travel suspension appears to be present at both ends, with a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock setup expected to handle broken roads and mild off-road trails with ease. The motorcycle also rides on spoke wheels that appear to use a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear combination. This setup is commonly preferred by adventure-touring motorcycles as it strikes a balance between highway stability and off-road capability.

Engine Expectations

While Bajaj has revealed nothing officially, industry speculation points towards a 250cc single-cylinder engine powering the upcoming motorcycle. The powerplant could potentially be derived from the Pulsar N250, albeit with a different state of tune better suited to adventure riding. If that turns out to be the case, buyers can expect strong low- and mid-range performance, which is particularly useful for touring and off-road riding conditions.

Launch Timeline And Expected Price

Based on the level of development seen in the latest spy shots, the motorcycle appears to be nearing production readiness. If testing continues as planned, Bajaj could unveil the model towards the end of 2026 or potentially during the early months of 2027. Pricing is expected to play a crucial role in the bikes success. Industry estimates suggest a price tag around the Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) mark, which would position it as an attractive alternative to motorcycles such as the Suzuki V-Strom SX, TVS Apache RTX 300, and KTM 250 Adventure.
