While the price hike is conveyed by the brand, they have also let out the reasons behind it. Mercedes-Benz has attributed the upward revision of ex-showroom prices to a surge in input costs, commodity costs, logistics expenses, and general inflationary pressure. The brand emphasizes its commitment to absorbing the majority of this increase but deems it necessary to pass on a modest portion to the market to balance the cost escalation. This adjustment will lead to a price increase of up to two percent, specifically applying to select models within the Mercedes-Benz lineup.

The decision reflects the industry's response to various economic factors impacting production costs.
