Haval Concept H to be showcased at 2020 Auto Expo

Great Wall Motor (GWM), one of the biggest car manufacturers in China will officially enter the Indian market space soon. Before the first launch from the brand, we will get a glimpse of what they will offer in the Indian market. GWM will launch their first brand, Haval in the Indian market and will showcase their first product, Haval H Concept, at the 2020 Auto Expo.

Haval H

The manufacturer has officially announced that the Concept H SUV will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Haval H concept looks like a full-size SUV that will take on the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. However, the brand has not revealed much about the upcoming vehicle yet.

The teaser image shows the side profile of the Concept H and we can spot the full-LED headlamp set-up. The car is likely to get chrome beltline and all-black alloy wheels. Some of these features are expected to be available with the production version of the car too.

Mr. Wei Jianjun, Chairman, GWM, stated,

⬓This is indeed a proud moment for us as we are on the verge of entering the Indian automotive market. We are excited at the limitless possibilities that lay ahead as India is an important market for us. At GWM, we aim to set new benchmarks in the Indian automobile industry and hope to create an everlasting relationship with the discerning Indian customer. With the R&D center in Bangalore and now our participation at the 15th edition of the Auto Expo, we want to further ascertain the importance of India as the core strategic market.⬝

The Haval brand is popular in China for its range of SUVs. Since the popularity of the SUVs is growing in India at a fast pace, the manufacturer may follow the strategy of MG Motors in the Indian market. MG Motors, which entered the Indian market last year currently offers two SUVs - Hector and ZS EV. In the future, we will get to see more SUVs from the brand in the Indian market.

Haval may follow the same strategy of launching a marquee of SUVs before entering the other segments in the Indian market.
