Now, in just a few months, the new GST rates have made these premium bikes even more expensive. To keep it simple, below is a list of the affected motorcycles along with their old and new prices.

This table lists every Honda BigWing model with an engine capacity above 350cc. The Rebel 500, a cruiser motorcycle, has seen a price increase of Rs 37,000 - the smallest in the table. The largest hike is seen in the Gold Wing, often regarded as the Godfather of two-wheelers, now priced at an exorbitant Rs 42.82 lakh (ex-showroom). For those unfamiliar with this bike, here's a brief overview: it comes with a 1,833cc, 6-cylinder engine producing 126 PS and 170 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-DCT gearbox. While the riding experience is yet to be widely reviewed, it is expected to be extremely luxurious.

Two-wheelers with an engine capacity above 350cc now attract 40% GST, up from the previous 31%. This 9% increase accounts for the difference in pricing. For a comprehensive walkaround of the Honda Rebel 500, watch the video attached below.
Verdict
This was expected, but it is likely to create a challenging situation for Honda, as they expanded their lineup only this year, and now all their premium bike prices have seen a significant jump. However, this is unlikely to be a problem for potential buyers of these bikes.
