Honda Mid-Size SUV Confirmed For India: Launch Soon

Honda Cars India's line-up has been deprived of an SUV for a long time. The Honda City and Amaze have been majorly pulling the brand's bandwagon in the domestic market. Now as the market share of SUVs is on a rapid rise in the country, the Japanese automaker is ready to enter the battlefield with its new mid-size SUV. In line with this, the company has shared the first teaser sketch of its upcoming SUV. Here is everything you need to know about the Honda Mid-Size SUV.

Honda Mid-Size SUV: What the Teaser Sketch Says?

The teaser image shared by Honda sheds some light on the upcoming mid-size SUV's design direction as well as its overall stance. Being a sketch and that too a bit shadowy, the carmaker has indeed tried to hide some intricate design details, which obviously will be revealed at the time of launch. Speaking of its design, the SUV seems to be sporting an upright butch stance, further accentuated by roof rails on top.

Upfront the SUV will likely sport a set of LED DRLs, sitting just above the main headlights while the fog lamps are placed at the lower part of the bumper. A large front grille with subtle use of chrome will house the prominent Honda logo and lower down, an air intake will be accompanied by a silver skid plate. Towards the sides, the only visible design elements are the flared wheel arches and side body cladding running across the vehicle.

Honda Mid-Size SUV: Launch Details

Along with sharing the design sketch, Honda has also revealed that the mid-size SUV will be launched in India around summer 2023. Moreover, the company has said that the upcoming SUV has been developed specifically for the Indian market at the Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co. after extensive market surveys.
