With the adventure two-wheelers now gaining popularity in the Indian market, we saw a number of brands introducing their new offering to cater to the demands of the buyers looking for capable and imposing adv bikes in the Indian market. Having said this, Honda is also said to be planning to introduce a new entry-level affordable offering in the segment and recently filed a patent application for the Honda NXR 160 in India. The NXR 160 will take on the rivals like the Hero XPulse. Here are all the details that you will like to know about the Honda NXR 160.
While the Japanese brand filed a patent for the new entry-level ADV in 2015 for the first time in India, but is now planning on introducing a new, made for India ADV bike that will offer better capabilities and a VFM price tag. The Honda NXR 160 Bros is already on sale in the international markets. While more details are yet to be revealed by the brand, the NXR 160 is expected to boast a light kerb-weight and an aggressive performance. While the name suggests that Honda might introduce a smaller, 150cc-160cc motor in the NXR 160, we would want it to at least offer a 180 cc engine.

The Brazil-spec Honda NXR 160 Bros boasts a 162.7 cc petrol engine that delivers 14.6 hp and 14.4 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Having said this, the NXR160 Bros is based on a semi-double-cradle frame with telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear. Likewise, it gets a single-disc braking setup that offers a commendable braking experience.
The official launch timeline however is yet to be revealed by the brand in the Indian market and we are awaiting more details about the powertrain of the Honda NXR 160 to be offered for the Indian buyers. This new bike will be priced aggressively and will give tough competition to the rivals like the Honda XPulse.
