Vietnamese electric vehicle giant VinFast is all set to launch its third product for the Indian market on April 15. The brand has announced that the VF MPV 7 electric MPV will make its debut on this date, with bookings now open through the companys dealership network and official website. Interested customers can reserve the MPV with a booking amount of Rs 21,000. With this launch, VinFast will enter a new segment and take on established players in the category. VinFast VF MPV 7
The upcoming VinFast MPV will rival the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax 7. On the design front, the MPV features a front profile similar to the VF 7, with sleek LED DRLs and a split headlamp setup, with the projector LED headlamps positioned below the DRLs, giving it a clean, modern look. Along the sides, it gets a straight window line, a chrome window beltline, conventional door handles, a charging port on the left-hand side (as seen on the international version), and 19-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the MPV sports a connected light bar and a minimalist tailgate design with prominent badging.
The upcoming electric MPV measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,734 mm in height. It offers a wheelbase of 2,840 mm.
Moving to the interior, the dashboard offers a minimalistic design with a neat layout, a 10.1-inch centre infotainment screen offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control, Type-A & Type-C USB charging ports for better convenience. Moreover, the MPV will come with leatherette seats, tilt and telescopic steering, Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes. among other features. Safety features of the vehicle will include 6-airbags, an electric parking brake, ABS with EBD, brake assist, TCS, hill-start assist, all-4 disc brakes, and more.

VinFast VF MPV 7 - Powertrain
The upcoming VinFast electric MPV is powered by a 60.1 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor. The motor produces nearly 201 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. The brand claims a NEDC range of up to 450 km on a single charge. In terms of charging, the battery can be charged from 10 to 70 percent in just 30 minutes using an 80 kW DC fast charger. Customers can also use an 11 kW AC charger for more convenient home or office charging. Moreover, the MPV will come with multiple levels of regenerative braking to enhance overall efficiency.

With its entry into the MPV market, VinFast is aiming to target large families looking for an electric MPV. The brand is set to tap into a segment that has largely been overlooked.
