Honda offers only the Unicorn 160 after the stringent BS6 norms came in. Honda Hornet 160 and X-Blade 160 were discontinued due to BS6 but today, Honda has extended its 160 cc portfolio with the X-Blade BS6. Honda has launched the updated X-Blade BS6 in two variants - single disc and dual disc. The single disc variant is priced at Rs 1,06,687 ex-showroom, Delhi.

Honda has made a host of changes with the BS6 update which includes fuel injection, engine kill switch and optional rear disc brake. Talking about the changes, the design is similar to before but now gets some new graphics. The front and rear get sharp LED lights and the exhaust has dual outlet ports. Honda targets the X-Blade to the millennials. The updated X-Blade will compete with bikes like Yamaha FZ-S, Hero Xtreme 160R and Suzuki Gixxer.

Talking about the mechanical changes, the new X-Blade BS6 is powered by a 160 cc fuel-injected engine which churns out 13.6 BHP and 14.7 Nm of peak torque. The engine has a compression ratio of 10:1 and Honda has used counterweight balancer and needle bearing rocker arm to give smooth and eager power delivery. The X-Blade sits on a diamond frame and gets rear mono-shock. The seat of the Honda X-Blade is 582mm long and 337mm wide which gives supreme comfort.

To make the X-Blade more appealing and sporty, Honda adds groovy grab rail, link type gear shifter, wheel strips, sporty under cowl and front fork covers. Honda X-Blade also gets single-channel ABS, 130mm rear tyre for better stability and a digital meter with service reminders and clock. Talking about the colour options, Honda offers the X-Blade BS6 in Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Access Grey Metallic and Matt Marvel Blue Metallic.
