Jawa Motorcycles is an iconic two-wheeler manufacturer. Jawa's old classic motorcycles were very popular in India. Jawa re-entered the Indian market in 2018 and the company is now owned by Classic Legends (a subsidiary of Mahindra Group). Jawa currently has three BS6 compliant motorcycles in its Indian portfolio and around 175 dealerships to cater to the public. But now, Jawa Motorcycles is planning to extend the number to 500 dealerships in the next 12 months. In this article, we have for you all the details about it.

Jawa Motorcycles - Expansion Plan

Jawa Motorcycles re-entered the Indian market in the year 2018. Currently, the company has around 175 dealerships across 150 cities in the country. By August 2021, the company is planning to expand the number of dealerships to 275 across the country. Finally, the two-wheeler maker intends to have a total of 500 Jawa Motorcycles dealerships in India within the next 12 months. The company has also announced that the deliveries of the new motorcycles have been delayed due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown. However, once the lockdown is lifted, the deliveries will be accelerated.

Jawa Motorcycles - Indian Portfolio

Jawa currently has three BS6 compliant motorcycles in its Indian portfolio. They are - Jawa Classic, Jawa Forty-Two along with its recently launched 2.1 version and the Jawa Perak. The Jawa Classic and the new Forty-Two 2.1 are powered by a new BS6 compliant 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 27.33 PS of maximum power and 27.05 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The Jawa Perak is a unique bobber-styled motorcycle in India.

Jawa Motorcycles 500 Dealerships

The new Jawa Perak is powered by a BS6 compliant 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected DOHC engine. This motor churns out 30.64 PS of maximum power and 32.74 Nm of peak torque.
